In a forclosure do you owe them the differance after the bank sells your house?

We are waiting to here about our deed and lieu approval. We know that with deed in lieu we are not obligated to pay the bank back the differance when they sell the house. But if we were forced to do a forclosure would we be obligated to pay the differance once the bank auctioned or sold the house. If anyone knows something about this we would really appreciate it . Thanks

If you’re planning to refinance your car loan in a few months (at a MUCH lower interest rate) what is the logic in paying a large chunk of money NOW to the company that holds the high-interest loan at the moment?
Seriously, I’m missing the logic here. Wouldn’t it be smarter, if you have a chunk of money (which is equal to three high-interest rate car loan payments) why wouldn’t you just make your normal payment for the next few months, refinance at the lower rate and THEN pay the big chunk of money?

we went thru a forclosure and know they will send us a 1099 as earned income on the amt they were not able to get from the sale what if the house was 250000 but they could only sell it for 150000 how much will we pay on taxes for the remaining 100000 or how are we able to calculate this for diff amts just so we can have a heads up.

What is the bankruptcy law or code in Missouri to exempt my 2007 Tax Refund?

The bankruptcy trustee told me to ammend my exemption schedule to include my 2007 return, but I don’t know the code.
I filed with out an attorney, so I have to find the code by myself.
